Making Easter Egg Tubes

This tutorial is a Quickie Tut and assumes you have a basic knowledge of Paint Shop Pro. No outside filters are needed to complete this tut.

You will need the Marbles Picture Tubes that came with PSP. If you don't have them, you can download them HERE.
Unzip and put the tube into your Picture Tubes folder.

Making the Tube Grid

1. Open a new Image: size, 600 x 300, Transparent Background.

2. Hit CTRL+ALT+G to turn on the Grid.

3. Right click on the image title bar. Click on the last option -

Change Grid, Guide & Snap Properties.

4. Change Horizonal and Verticles to 150,  Color = Black.

Making the Eggs

1. Open a new Image: size, 150 x 150, Transparent Background.

2. With your Picture Tube tool active, find the Marbles and set the scale to 200.

Just a note: To see how many different images there are in a tube set, click on the Tube Settings icon.

3. Effects/Geometric Effects/Perspective-Vertical

Settings: Distortion - 54, Transparent = checked.

Note: You can use a negative number to have the smaller end on top of flip the whole tube grid over when you have it filled in.

4. Copy the egg and right click on the title bar of your image for the tube grid.
Choose - Paste/Paste as Transparent Selection, into the first grid square.

Some examples of how you can make more eggs.

Warp Brush Egg

Use the left and right rotation at various sizes on one of the marbles.

You can use the Deform Tool to rotate the egg to tilt it a bit before you copy it.

You may have to open the image screen a bit wider to see the rotator arm node.

Pattern Egg

Patterned Egg
1. For this I placed my marble tube.

2. Used the Magic Want and click on the outside. Selections/Invert.

3. Flood fill with a apttern from the Materials palette. Then CTRL+D.

4. Then apply the Perspective.

Picture Egg

1. You can also start with a rectangle image and turn it into an egg.

Open an image. Promote it to a layer if necessary. Layers/Promote Background layer.

3. Effects/Geometric Effects/Perspective - Vertical.

4. Copy and Paste as Transparent Selection onto the grid.

Exporting to Tubes

1. Once you have your grid filled with your eggs:

2. Hit CTRL+ALT+G to turn off your grid.

3. File/Export/Picture Tube
