2.
Note: The line with the arrow is being used so that you can see the direction of the stroke, but you can use any style stroke you wish.
Next: Foreground (stroke) is set to a bold blue and Background (Fill) is set to Null.
Draw a continuous line from left to right holding the Left mouse button down.
After you release the mouse, your stroke will change to the color specified. If you hold your mouseover the beginning and end of this line, you will see START at the beginning and END at the end.
You can now actually move either end of this line by grabbing with your mouse and moving to another location as in the Examples 1 and 2 below.
Note: if you wish to add to this line for instance to go to another direction, hold your mouse at the start or end of the line until you see a +. 1st example below As you then hold your Left mouse button down, you will see the + change into ADD. You can also, of corse, add a line anywhere along your stroke as long as you see the plus sign. If you do not see the + you will simply be moving your line instead of adding one. Second Example below
Starting and ending the lines as above does not join the ends of the lines because we have not checked "Contiguous". The lines are separate and can each be moved independantly by picking up either end of the line with the mouse.
Or, because we DID NOT check "Contiguous" on our Tool Settings we can continue drawing seperate straight lines anywhere as long as we don't pick up the beginning and ending of the previous line.
Change from PSP7: If you have been using PSP7, you will see that the ALT and CTRL keys no longer have an effect on drawing straight lines since this feature is now built into the tool.
